The Plan

As with anything we will start off basic, and dice deeper and more detailed later. I will be using mainly the internet to research and understand many things which I will site so that you may also read the articles and websites that I use to find information in or at. I will present a question or problem then find a way(s) to solve it, as always anyone is welcome to offer idea and or solutions as well, and are in fact encouraged to do so. First we need to understand everything a city would need to be successful. we will also take a look at how some problems are already being taken care of, or ignored, and any other issues that may arise as we take our steps forward in history.

To start off we need to make a list of the basic needs of a group of people, and then the basic needs of a city as a whole, please if you can think of anything that I didn't feel free to add them on a comment and your thoughts as to my list. If your list is also valid I will edit this post to include them on my list, with regards in siting you as well.

An Idea

Hello, I am Drake Waters, and I would like to share an idea with you. I would love it if you share your input on my and hopefully other's ideas. What is this idea you may ask? Well I will get there shortly, but I want to point out two things first. Firstly, I would like it if you were to go watch the movie, Zeitgeist: Moving Forward, by director Peter Joseph. This is a feature length documentary work which will present a case for a needed transition out of the current socioeconomic monetary paradigm which governs the entire world society. This subject matter will transcend the issues of cultural relativism and traditional ideology and move to relate the core empirical "life ground" attributes of human and social survival, extrapolating those immutable natural laws into a new sustainable social paradigm called "Resource-Based Economy". The second point I would like to make is that while all I currently have is an idea, this will and is meant to provide and possibly be the making of a resource-based economy. Now the idea is more a goal, I would like to, and hopefully you will to, present a model of a resource-based economy that can be changed to fit the area, environment, and needs of the individuals living in it, should it ever be used, and hopefully it will. The goal is to make this model, completely. I am not just going to try to draw "blueprints", but rather provide a in depth and detailed explanation and plan for this new city to the point that we work together to form and make this virtual city that works and functions so that when they call out the need for this worldwide we have already done so. it is key however that you understand that I and hopefully we will be literally making this city, planning it out and thinking of problems that may arise and ways to over come those problems before they ever come to pass. Please feel free to comment, ask questions, and offer ideas to start discussions, and note that the eternal goal of this blog is to come up with ideas to create a resource-based economy, and then test those ideas to the best of our abilities.
